Arab Women and Information and Communication Technology (2007)

The publication contains four scientific papers on issues related to aspects of the interaction of Arab Women with information and communication technology and the utilization of digital technology and interactive communication, especially the Internet. Papers carried the following headings : Their Discovered World ; Arab Women’s Blogs and Arab Women and Electronic Journalism ; an analysis of the Media presence of Arab Women in Three Electronic Information Sites ; Trends of Arab Women’s Interaction with information and Communication Technology ; and Gender and Information and Communication Technology : The Uses of the Internet Among Journalists off Both Sexes in Tunisia ; Field Study.

The Study was conducted in cooperation with the United Nations Development Fund for Women and the support of the Arab Gulf Fund for United Nations Development Organizations.
