Arab Adolescents : values and human rights, Bahrain, Lebonon, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco (2009)

Issued in 2009 to follow up on the findings of CAWTAR’s second Arab Woman Development Report : Arab Adolescent Girl : Reality and Prospects, published in 2003 and which covered 5 countries : Bahrain, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco. The study analysis’s constructed on the dada (interviews) collected during the research undertaken for the preparation of the AWDR in addition to other new data.

As a policy oriented research, the study assessed the realty and prospects through highlighting the adolescents (boys and girls) perception of selected values as Human Rights, to the aim to formulating appropriate programs based on adolescents and youth views. Furthermore, the study proposes an innovative right based and gender sensitive methodology, focusing mainly on selected values / Human rights :

* Participation and inclusion
* Equality and non-discrimination
* Freedom and autonomy
